A Portuguese Delicacy that is also Famous in Macau

Along with Pork Chop Buns, the Egg Custard Tart is the stand-out signature food in Macau, that is loved by tourists.

The most famous of all is most-likely Lord Stowe's. Out of all the egg tarts I tried, Lord Stowe's were my favorite, but whether their's are the best or not is debatable - it's all a question of taste and context.

Another excellent egg custard tart I had was at Koi Kei Bakery in Macau. This one would have been equal to Lord Stowe's had the custard been slightly more caramelized - I love it if there is a tiny bit of charring on top.

How can you resist when presented with a display like this?

The egg tarts are almost irresistible. A lot fo people I saw were ordering them 3 or 4 at a time. I saw one person eat 6. At first I thought he was ording for friends, but no, he sat there and ate them all. Quickly!
